In fact, E445 wood rosin is soluble. That’s why wood rosin-E445 is used as a density adjuster, weighting agent and clouding agent in high-viscosity juices made from concentrate.

Used as a protective coating agent for citrus fruits, BG389 reduces moisture with the resulting weight loss. In fact, it delays fruit ageing and improves its appearance by increasing the shine of the rind.

Only the Glycerol Ester of Wood Rosin (GEWR) is authorized for beverages in the European Union.
